Synopsis:
You have in your hands the pivotal fourth novel in the seven part tale of Harry Potter's training as a wizard and his coming of age. Harry wants to get away from the pernicious Dursleys and go to the International Quidditch Cup with Hermione, Ron, and the Weasleys. He wants to dream about Cho Chang, his crush (and maybe do more than dream). He wants to find out about the mysterious event that's supposed to take place at the Hogwarts this year, an event involving two other rival schools of magic, and a competition that hasn't happened in a hundred years. He wants to be a normal, fourteen year old wizard. Unfortunately for Harry Potter, he's not normal - even by wizarding standards.

And in his case, different can be deadly.

I Enjoyed:

  • This is the beginning of the darker Harry Potter books. I just really freaking love the darker Harry Potter books more than the first three. Granted, The Prisoner of Azkaban was kind of dark. It just doesn't feel as dark as Goblet of Fire.
  • This is the first book in the series that makes me cry. It's one out of two. I'm just a wreck for this book. I'm still sad.
  • I love the Triwizard Tournament. It brings so much action to this series. It's different from the other books. You meet more characters from different schools. I just really freaking love this book!
  • I just really loved everything about this book. It's a masterpiece.

I Didn't Enjoy:

  • Nothing. This book is perfect!

Overall Thoughts

This is my favorite Harry Potter book. So much emotion. So much action. So many freaking feelings. I'm obsessed with it. I already want to rewatch the movie and I watched it right after I finished the book. I'm sad that this book is over.

This review is going to be short and sweet. I really love this book. It's my favorite. I will never not cry in the end.

5/5 Stars
